Health tips for school children


           The perfect time to learn about healthy food habits, and activity is School age. Children should involve in many physical activities. Eating snacks is very important because it will balance them what ever they eat on that day. Well balanced diet should be maintained for the school going children.





Start the day with excellent breakfast:
       Encourage your children to eat the breakfast regularly. Better to start morning breakfast with a bowl full of cereal mixed with milk will create a good atmosphere during the breakfast. A good sleep and nutritious breakfast helps your child to be very active for the whole day.

     School lunch is very important for the children:


         Most of the schools follow government guidelines to encourage the students get healthy food choice. All the school shave canteen even though your child eats high costly food they get low nutritious level. A healthy lunch will give healthy benefits for the children. The lunch box can be covered by raw vegetables, fresh fruits, sandwich with cheese slice bread, crackers with the spread of dried fruit or fresh fruits. Try to avoid meats like chicken, chips, biscuits, fruit bars, juices and soft drinks

        After school meals
          In  the evening the children will eat only a small amount of food. But you should make sure that children should eat nutritious food with high energy. Sandwich with a glass of milk will make good energy, cereal and fruit will make best effect.

    Best family meals:
            School children learn good eating habits from the parents. When you are eating a family meal it is better to avoid talk, avoid Distractions from the T.V and radio. Teach the children about the benefits of nutritious food. Allow the children to help you in preparing meals and shopping. Drinking a glass of milk will help you to get stronger bones. Drinking plain water is very important. Daily children should have served 3 times of calcium.

           A good health starts from the best physical exercise. It is better to limit the amount of television for the whole family. Physical activities reduce sickness and watch your children playing sports and encourage them to do more.
