Benefits of Bitter Gourd




Bitter melon is not liked by children throughout the world. The benefits were first known by Chinese who found it cure fevers, diarrhea and food poisoning. The bitter melon stops the cancer cell from growing. The biological name of bitter melon is Momordica charantia. It serves to lower blood sugar levels. It is good for diabetic patient to include bitter melon in their diet. Bitter melon is used to make pickle. It is used as vegetable to make side dishes with rice. Regular intake of bitter gourd juice has proved to improve energy and stamina level. In early stages of cholera take two teaspoonfuls juice of bitter gourd leaves with two teaspoonfuls of onion juice and one teaspoonful lime juice. Sip this concoction daily till you get well. Regular intake of bitter melon improves eyesight. The bitter gourd juice helps to cleanse repair and nourish liver problems due to alcohol consumption. It helps to increase your body’s resistance against infection. To hasten the healing of piles, use the paste of the roots of bitter melon plant and apply over the piles. It is used to cure fungal infections like ring-worm and athletes feet. The bitter gourd juice helps to improve asthma, bronchitis and pharyngitis. It is used as a medicine for jaundice. It is effective for the treatment for HIV infected patients.
